Who is my coach?
Your coach was paired with you based on your identified goals matching their strengths, as well as availability. Our coaches come from a wide range of backgrounds, but are chosen by our learning team to have a strong coaching background.
How can I change coaches?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for a new coach, and include any preference you might have including timing and learning goals.
When can I take sessions?
Anytime, any day, including evenings and weekends. We have coaches around the world, so you can take sessions 24/7. Specific focus areas or coach backgrounds may have different availabilities.
Is there a syllabus or a textbook?
No, but you'll build out a "syllabus" of sorts by working with your coach to choose tasks (if you're a language learner) or goals (if you're a leaders learner). This customizes your learning exactly to your needs, instead of being stuck in chapters of a book or to a pre-set program.
How do I know I’m getting better?
Ask your coach! Your coach is a great resource to help identify the progress that you’re making. Progress can be confirmed in a lot of ways - we encourage you to review your confidence and comfort level in various tasks to see how you’ve grown over time. For example, you can ask yourself periodically “Is this easier for me to do than when I started learning with my coach?” We also distribute a self-assessment periodically, which will compare your progress over time. Last, you can reach out to your manager and coworkers for feedback!
Where do the sessions take place?
We integrate with Zoom for a smooth, secure session experience. Some learners may choose to connect via other tools like Skype or Google Hangouts instead. Zoom is the default but if you'd prefer something different, please speak with your coach.
What can I talk to my coach about?
Anything! All of our coaches have signed Non-Disclosure Agreements, so if there is something work-related you’d like to work on, bring it to your session!
